Hack4Climate is a climate / blockchain hackathon. It was held, from 12 to 16 November 2017, in parallel to the COP23 climate conference in Bonn, Germany. It aimed to inspire the digital ledger technology (DLT) community to engage and contribute to #ClimateAction.
Hack4Climate was supported by the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), a Connect4Climate / World Bank partner, and an ‘endorsed initiative’ under the Fiji Presidency.
It was the first hackathon connected to a COP, and a partner of the Climate Ledger Initiative (CLI), enabling research and innovation at the climate / blockchain intersection.
